Killian
Madden [photo], a Chicago native, civil and environmental
engineering graduate of Tufts University, and nearly nine-year
veteran of Tesla’s solar and battery division, brought deep
expertise in renewable energy, electrification, product development,
and clean technology to Central Massachusetts. After living in
Worcester for a decade—eight of those years without a car—she
experienced the city’s public transit, rideshares, running, and
traditional bikes firsthand. Discovering an electric bicycle proved
transformative on Worcester’s famous hills, turning uphill commutes
into something practical and enjoyable. Drawing on her background as
a renewable energy enthusiast, electrification advocate, engineer,
athlete, and private pilot, Killian founded Wicked Wheels,
a mobile e-bike and scooter concierge service that eliminates the
barriers of online purchases and brick-and-mortar shopping by
bringing premium, fully assembled, ready-to-ride electric bikes
directly to customers’ doorsteps for private demos and convenient
delivery.
Killian's entrepreneurial path began through Launch Worcester, the central platform powered by The Venture Forum that connects startups with the broader Greater Worcester entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center at Clark University collaborates closely with the Worcester Business Resource Alliance—including The Venture Forum and the Greater Worcester Community Chamber of Commerce—to support many Launch Worcester graduates. This coordinated network provided Killian early visibility, peer support, workshops, and connections that helped her refine her mobile business model focused on students, everyday commuters, and longtime cyclists seeking reliable, sustainable transportation tailored to Worcester’s terrain and lifestyle.
As a client of the Massachusetts SBDC, Killian has leveraged U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)-supported advising and resources—including a Management Consulting Class project that developed a strategic growth plan for Wicked Wheels—to strengthen operations, marketing, and long-term planning. These SBA resources, delivered through the Massachusetts SBDC’s partnership within the local business resource alliance, have helped turn her personal experience and technical expertise into a successful Worcester enterprise.

accessible, fun, and practical, empowering more residents to rethink
how they move around the city while contributing to a more
sustainable local transportation landscape.
