Jim Gipe, owner of Pivot Media, began his career in 1989 as a photojournalist, an experience that remains a strong influence in his photography. In 1992 he began to experiment with an early form of Adobe Photoshop and to develop and expand his digital imaging techniques alongside his photographic work. Jim, now one of the area's leading photographers and digital illustrators, launched Pivot Media in 1999 fulfilling his dream of a in-house digital workflow that transcended the boundaries of traditional photography while still remaining true to photographic media. Pivot Media now serves as a prominent photographic and digital resource center for retail, wholesale, and creative clients throughout the northeast.
