Award Summary
FY08 (October 1, 2007 - September 30, 2008)
The Massachusetts Procurement Technical Assistance
Center (PTAC) program successfully completed the ninth year
assisting small businesses interested in doing business with
federal, state, local governments and Prime Contractors.
Total award dollars for the 12-month period ending
September 30, 2008 was $160.8 million. This represents a 22%
increase as compared to the previous year total of $131.7 million
for the same reporting period. This is also the sixth consecutive
year of record contract awards.
The nine-year cumulative award total is $741 million.

Awards By Region
Demand for PTAC counseling services remained
strong with 1,007 active clients during the reporting period.
Program resources from each of the six statewide government
contracting advisory areas kept pace with this demand which included
290 new clients requesting PTAC services. The pie chart below
summarizes the total award percentages per region, while the table
summarize awards by area for each major award source category such
as Department of Defense (DoD), Other Federal and State/Local.
