Massachusetts Export Center

Organizational and Financial Structure

The Massachusetts Export Center is part of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) Network. The Export Center operates four offices that are strategically located throughout the state to assist companies locally. Offices are located in Boston, Holyoke, New Bedford and Worcester. Through this network, the Massachusetts Export Center provides statewide coverage to companies throughout the Commonwealth.

MA Small Business Development Center NetworkNinety two percent of the Massachusetts Export Center's funding comes from the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network. The MSBDC receives its state funding from a line item within the Department of Business and Technology's budget. As a federal-state partnership, the MSBDC can leverage each state dollar to receive two federal dollars (up to a designated federal cap). The other eight percent of the Massachusetts Export Center's funding comes from the Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment (MOITI). The MSBDC uses the funding from MOITI to leverage additional federal funds for Massachusetts Export Center operations.
